Connecticut Basement Systems Before & After Photos

This Total Basement Finishing of Connecticut makeover helped take this basement from dark to bright and beautiful. 

Before, this Bethany basement had ground water seeping to the surface of the floor and also had moisture running freely throughout the area. The homeowner wanted their basement dry and running efficiently, so they decided to reach out to the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems.

Now, the basement is transformed with a WaterGuard Drainage System, a TripleSafe sump pump and CleanSpace vapor barrier installed. The WaterGuard System collects ground water internally and channels it to the TripleSafe sump pump where it is discharged away from the home. CleanSpace on the walls will prevent air and moisture from flowing freely. This product also gives the basement a fresh and clean look. This was exactly what the homeowner wanted and was pleased with a dry, efficient basement. 

 A homeowner in Bethany had water seepage in their basement and called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to have us waterproof their basement. After an appointment was scheduled it would soon be time for one of our Sales Consultants, Steve Machnicz, to go out to the home to assess the issues and provide a proper solution.

Once a proposal and plan for work were ready, it would then be time for one of our Foremen, Moises Chantes, and his crew to install this job. The major components of the waterproofing system included the installation of a TripleSafe sump pump, WaterGuard drain systems, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and a half wall of CleanSpace vapor barrier. The products will work together to collect water coming from the walls or floors and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. Now this basement will stay dry all the time!

This Wolcott basement was wet, dirty, and flooded frequently due to their insufficient sump pump, as seen in the before photo. The homeowners decided to give Connecticut Basement Systems a call to find a solution for their wet basement. 

With the help of our System Design Specialist, Mick Foster, the homeowners decided to install a TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which is an exclusive product from Connecticut Basement System. The system has three pumps. If there is too much water for the first pump to handle, the second one will kick in. A great benefit of the TripleSafe is if there is a loss of power in the home, a battery pack and the third pump take over, ensuring that your basement will be fully protected.  

The after picture shows the system installed by Sid Aviz and his team, with just the top left to be attached. But already one can see a huge transformation! The homeowners can now have a piece of mind that their basement will be dry going forward!

Before, this Wolcott, CT crawl space was filled with moisture, had a dirt floor and was negatively impacting the rest of the home. Moisture that enters the crawl space can ruin insulation and encourage wood to rot and mold growth. We were able to solve this problem by installing a CleanSpace vapor barrier system to the dirt floors, SilverGlo insulation panels to the walls and rim joist insulation. The CleanSpace vapor barrier will prevent water vapor and humidity from passing through, thus keeping the crawl space dry. The SilverGlo insulation panels combine highly effective graphite infused insulation with a built-in radiant heat barrier surface. This gave the crawl space walls a solid pane of R-11 insulation. Lastly, the rim joist insulation will ensure that unwanted airflow and moisture will not flow through freely. Now, this crawl space is correctly sealed and insulated which will allow the home to run more efficiently!
