With this crawl space we used our Cleanspace liner to create a clean, dry space. We then installed our Sanidry air purifier dehumidifier specifically designed for crawl spaces.
Before, this Branford, CT crawl space was filthy, foul-smelling and had a dirt floor. This combination can cause a risky environment on the main level of the home. The moisture that was flowing from the crawl space to the upper levels of the home was unhealthy. The homeowner knew that this was concerning and decided to reach out to the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems.
The solution for this crawl space was to install CleanSpace to the floors. This would prevent any water seepage or moisture flowing to the crawl space and up to the main floor of the home. (stack effect) CleanSpace will protect against mold and rot. A dry crawl space will also be inhospitable to termites, cockroaches and other pests. Instantly, the efficiency of the home improved and the homeowner was very pleased!
Before we went to this Guilford home, the crawlspace was cold, damp, and had a smelly odor. The homeowners were concerned and wanted a solution to make sure that their crawlspace was in tip top shape. They decided to give Connecticut Basement Systems a call.
A CleanSpace, WaterGuard, and SuperSump pump were installed by Garfield Sanderson and his production crew. The CleanSpace Vapor Barrier will help prevent moisture from entering the basement which will ultimately keep the area dry. The WaterGuard System will channel into the SuperSump pump and discharge it away from the home. There was also Spray Foam installed on the walls to completely air seal the crawlspace to ensure that no air flow will enter the crawlspace. The combination of all these products satisfied all of the homeowner’s needs where the crawlspace was dry and the odor decreased.
Now with a clean, fresh crawlspace the homeowners are already noticing a difference. They enjoy their dry crawlspace thanks to Connecticut Basement Systems!

This Durham crawlspace clearly had a lot of issues before we arrived to transform this space. The traditional fiber glass insulation was falling apart, there was a dirt floor that made the area look unwelcoming, and there was air and moisture entering the crawl space. The homeowners wanted to upgrade their crawl space to have it be more welcoming and efficient so they would not have to worry about any consequences that happen with a poorly maintained crawl space. They decided to set an appointment with Connecticut Basement Systems who are the experts in crawl space repairs.
Doug Wheeler was the Sales Representative who arrived at the home to give a free home evaluation. He concluded that CleanSpace Liner paired with a SaniDry Sedona would be the perfect solution for these Durham homeowners. After explaining the benefits of each product and having the homeowners understand how these products will improve their home’s efficiency, they quickly scheduled for a production date.
Garfield Sanderson and his production team installed the products efficiently and professionally. The CleanSpace Liner acts as a moisture barrier to prevent any unwanted air or water from entering the crawl space. Wrapping the piers would also be beneficial to the crawlspace, as seen in the after photo. The SaniDry Sedona will keep the humidity low in the crawl space which will prevent any mold growth.
The crawlspace is now a much healthier environment and the homeowners were impressed with the crawlspace transformation. The homeowners were very pleased with the work that was done by Connecticut Basement Systems.
