This house was suffering from settling foundation. Our solution to this problem is the use of our push pier system. This system allows us to go deep down through heavy duty steel foundation bracket to lift your home back to a level position.
Before, this Meriden home had unattractive, rusty and energy deficient windows in the basement. It was clear from just the outside of the home that these need windows needed to be upgraded.
We were able to install our EverLast windows which are far more superior. EverLast windows are maintenance free, resistant against rust or rot and are energy efficient. They will not allow drafts to enter the basement which will lower your energy bill! EverLast windows are both beautiful and efficient, which will make a great upgrade to any basement!
A homeowner in Meriden, CT had a foundation that was cracked and settling, making the basement of the home very uneven. They called our Foundation Supportworks team at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a way to fix their big problems. After scheduling an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Gus Stozinic, drove to the home to visualize and understand the issues. He knew this would be a job for our Foreman Sergio Alves and Jacob Scott.
Eventually, it would be time to start the work. In order to install the push piers, a trench needed to be dug in the back of the house alongside the foundation. Once that was done, it would be time to begin push pier installation. These go below the footing of the foundation and are then steel pier sections that are hydraulically driven into the ground until they reach stable soil. Then the team would raise the foundation to ensure the house is no longer sagging and the cracks come together, but this is done slowly and carefully. Once the homeowner and Sergio were satisfied with the stabilization, the cracks were sealed on the outside and finally, it was time to backfill with soil. On the inside, the cracks were closed up, but sealed and waterproofed, and then CarbonArmor strips to strengthen and help stabilize the wall. Overall, this was a very large project, but the homeowner was very happy with the results, seeing her foundation was in great shape!
A homeowner in Meriden, CT expressed concerns that her old sump pump system would be ineffective in mitigating unwanted basement moisture. In search of an expert, she decided to reach out to Connecticut Basement Systems for a free in-home consultation.
Upon calling, the homeowner made contact with Sales Representative Chuck Stofko. Once Stofko arrived at the home, he began writing detailed notes, including a sketch of the basement and various measurements. Following the completion of his visit, he provided a finalized proposal to the homeowner.
With the proposal accepted, Foreman Allan Guglielmoni and his team arrived on-site to begin the installation process. Following Stofko's proposal, Guglielmoni and his team installed our TripleSafe sump pump system with three levels of protection against basement moisture. Included with the TripleSafe system is a battery backup, which offers protection in the event of a power outage.
Confident in her basement's ability to mitigate moisture with an upgrade from her previous sump pump system, the homeowner was thrilled with the results!
A homeowner in Meriden, CT had water seepage in their basement and lots of moisture. They decided to call us at Connecticut Basement Systems in search of a permanent solution. One of our Salesmen, Brian DiRisi, visited the home to assess the basement and propose a waterproofing system solution.
Soon after it would be time for our Foremen, Delfino, and his crew to install the job. They installed our WaterGuard drainage system below the floor, around the entire perimeter to capture the water seepage. Then they installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier to help direct water from the wall into the drain below. Our TripleSafe sump pump was installed to take the collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. Our Sedona dehumidifier was installed to eliminate moisture and prevent mold growth.
This basement will now stay dry and the homeowner will have peace of mind
