If your basement has been finished with drywall, it could be seriously damaged during a flood like this one was. Once drywall is damaged by water, mold is not far behind. Thankfully, only the bottom portion of this basement's walls needed to be replaced, which ended up being a beautiful design detail!

We cut off the bottom of the drywall and replaced it with our Everlast™ Finished Wall Restoration System. This system works great with our other products, including our drainage system and basement flooring. The washable surface will stay looking great for many years to come and there's a 50-year Warranty on the EverLast Walls--What could be better than that?

The homeowners in this Griswold, CT home needed a basement that they could call home. They particularly wanted a family room / play room for their child. A walkout basement that had lots of potential beyond simply storage. They contacted the experts (that's us!) at Connecticut Basement Systems to get the job done. We came out and did just that: we turned their basement into a comfortable, always-dry family hang-out space. 

We installed our EverLast™ wall system, which is made from moisture-proof cement board and strong enough that you can mount a TV directly on it. With brand new walls the homeowners needed a new floor to go with it. We installed our ThermalDry® flooring, which has the look of ceramic tile but wont chip or crack unlike ceramic tile. We also added some finishing touches and put in doors for extra storage space.

The family couldn't be happier to have a homey basement that will meet their needs for comfort, fun, storage and more for years to come!
