A homeowner in Manchester, CT was hesitant about her basement's ability to expel water. In an effort to mitigate these concerns, she contacted the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems for assistance.
Upon calling, the homeowner made contact with Sales Representative Josh Kroop. After thoroughly listening to the homeowner's concerns, Kroop drafted a proposal, including installation of a WaterGuard system around the perimeter and a TripleSafe Sump Pump to swiftly remove any and all water.
Once accepted, foreman Luis Alas arrived on site with his team to begin installation. After a brief two-day long installation, the basement was returned to the homeowner, protected against moisture and water accumulation!
Water used to seep through the foundation walls of this Manchester home, making the basement wet and humid. To protect the walls and home from water damage, we installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic barrier that's perfect for unfinished basement walls. With a 25-year warranty for wear and tear, it's durable, washable, and has anti-microbial protection called UltraFresh, built right in! The homeowners can rest easy knowing that their basement is protected from leaks, even in heavy rains.
A homeowner in Broad Brook, CT was getting a lot of water coming into their basement. They made the smart decision to call us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a solution. Once the homeowner scheduled an appointment, it would then be time for one of our Sales Consultants, Carey Benjamin, to go out to the home to assess the issues and provide a proper solution.
Then after a proposal was made, it would be time for one of our Foremen, Al Guglielmoni, and his team to work on this project. They installed our perimeter WaterGuard system, running along the bottom of the walls below the concrete. Then they installed not one, but two of our sump pumps; one TripleSafe and one SuperSump Plus. They also installed CleanSpace on the walls to protect it from vapor, as well as installing a Sedona dehumidifier to reduce moisture and prevent mold growth. All of these systems would work together to collect water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. Now this basement is completely dry and the homeowner was thrilled with the results! It went from having a musty smell to smelling clean and fresh!
A homeowner in Broad Brook, CT had just gotten their basement waterproofed by us and decided they also wanted to get their basement finished. They reached back out to us and our Total Basement Finishing team to come in and transform their basement. One of our Sales Consultants, Cary Benjamin, who originally sold them the waterproofing job, met with the customer to develop a plan for what they would like to have done to the basement. Once this was developed it would soon be time for our crew to work on the installation.
One of our Foremen, Sheldon Lennon, and his team started the installation. They began with framing and walls, and we installed our EverLast perimeter wall system. This is an insulated wall system that will keep the temperatures regulated throughout the basement. These walls are durable and are paintable so that if a customer changes their mind on a color, it can be an easy change. Then they installed new doors throughout the space. They created a few smaller rooms within the large basement to create different spaces for different uses. They installed a drop ceiling as well as trims throughout the basement. 4 of our EverLast basement windows were installed, helping to brighten up the space. Sheldon installed Elite Plank flooring in light pecan as well as our carpet tiles. This is a great, safe option for kids to play. Once the walls were painted, this basement turned into a beautiful, usable space, perfect for this homeowner's needs.
Before, this Marlborough basement had a water issue that would make the finished area unwelcoming with damp carpet and a musty odor. The homeowner wanted her finished basement to be usable and practical. After doing some research, she decided to contact the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems for a permanent solution.
The solution for this basement was to install DryTrak Baseboard Drain Pipe System. This system was necessary in this basement because it had monolithic flooring. We epoxy the drain pipe directly to the floor, leaving a slight opening along the top to collect water leaking in from the walls. Therefore, the basement is waterproofed without jackhammering! Half wall restoration was also performed to fix the damage that was caused by the water. The homeowner also decided to get rid of the original carpet and install ThermalDry Flooring to give the area a completed look. As you can see in the after photo, the basement was transformed to a dry and more comfortable area which is exactly what the homeowner had wanted!
