This Newtown crawl space had a dirt floor and frequent air and moisture. There was no insulation which was causing cold floors on the main floor. The homeowner wanted to find a solution that would make his crawl space more efficient. He decided to do some research on the internet for the best solution and decided to do the project with the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems.
The solution for this crawl space was to install: CleanSpace liner, SilverGlo, rim joist insulation and a SuperSump pump. The CleanSpace liner will prevent any moisture from seeping through the floors. It also makes for a usable area compared to dirt floors. To keep the area insulated, the walls were installed with SilverGlo. To make sure that air does to sneak above the walls, rim joist insulation was installed. Lastly, to ensure that water does not enter, a SuperSump pump was installed. Now, the crawl space runs efficiently and is completely dry and insulated. The homeowner is thrilled with the results.

Our team installed TerraBlock and SilverGlo insulation to make the space energy efficient, our CleanSpace vapor barrier to seal out water, and more! We transformed this dirty space into a clean, dry asset to the home, perfect for storage space.

Before, this Trumbull, CT basement was plagued by slow water leaks through its stone walls. As the water slowly crept in and evaporated, it left behind dirt and other unsightly marks on the walls of the basement. More than just a blemish, this dirt provides an organic surface on which mold can grow, which can lead to an unhealthy basement environment.
Our trusted waterproofing foreman, Sid Avis, used several of our patented products to correct the problem and transform the basement into a more pleasant space. First, he and his crew installed WaterGuard, an interior draining system, along the perimeter of the basement. Next, the crew attached CleanSpace liner around the basement walls, covering the leaky areas. In this case, CleanSpace works with WaterGuard to keep the basement dry and clean. CleanSpace, a heavy plastic liner, stops water vapor and drains wall leaks into the WaterGuard drain system below.
The homeowner was very pleased that Connecticut Basement Systems was able to correct the leaks in his basement, and even noticed that the CleanSpace liner had transformed his dark, dirty basement into a considerably brighter, more pleasant area in his home.
