The Sedona dehumidifier is fantastic! Salesman Micah Smith came to the house, did a thorough evaluation of the problems, and gave a no-pressure estimate of the work to be done. Basement refinishing will be undertaken at a later date, but for now one of the most pressing problems was the humidity (79%!). The smell permeated the 1200 square foot basement, and even after a few minutes in there, clothes and skin were clammy; the few stored items were covered in mold, and moisture and smell were seeping upstairs.

Micah described the Sedona and I had my misgivings: I hadn't researched dehumidifiers and the cost was surprising. However, I trusted him and felt comfortable making the purchase. Now that I have the Sedona and have experienced what it can do, I would pay twice as much (don't tell Larry). I was out of the house for the rest of the day and evening, but when I returned home the smell was almost completely gone. The next day I put a five-quart container under the hose and had to empty it from time to time.
