A homeowner in Waterford, CT, dealing with basement water seepage turned to us at Connecticut Basement Systems for a solution. One of our Sales Consultant Matt Kraus evaluated the situation and designed a plan.
Then one of our foreman Luis Alas and his team implemented the plan by installing the WaterGuard drainage system around the basement’s perimeter to direct water to the sump liner. They also installed the SuperSump Plus sump pump system, which includes a primary pump, a secondary pump for high volumes, and a battery backup capable of pumping 2,220 gallons per hour. Finally, they set up the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to manage moisture with minimal maintenance.
These enhancements ensure the basement stays dry, providing the homeowner with peace of mind.
Before, this Stafford basement had constant water issues that would cause a wet and unpleasant area. The homeowner wanted a basement that would be pleasant and dry every time she entered. Searching for a permeant solution, she decided to call Connecticut Basement Systems.
The solution for this Stafford basement was to install a WaterGuard System. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drainage system that collects water before it even the enters the basement. The water is then channeled through the WaterGuard system and into the TripleSafe sump pump, where the water will then exit the home through a discharge line. As seen in the after photo, the TripleSafe sump pump is installed and the wet cement is where the WaterGuard System was placed internally. Now, the homeowner can enjoy a dry basement all year long thanks to the WaterGuard System and TripleSafe sump pump.

This Stafford home had constant water problems especially when it rained. The homeowner decided enough was enough and wanted to find a solution. He sought for a dry and healthier basement all year long. He decided to call the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems for a free, no-obligation estimate.
The solution for this basement was to install a WaterGuard System paired with a Triple Safe and SaniDry Sedona. The WaterGuard system will collect water internally and channel it to the TripleSafe sump pump (you can see the WaterGuard System was placed where the wet cement is in the after photo). The TripleSafe sump pump will discharge the unwanted water properly away from the home. It even has back up pumps and batteries to ensure that the basement will stay dry during the heaviest of storms and outages. Lastly, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to keep humidity below 55% to ensure healthier air quality and a more comfortable basement to be in. This is exactly what the homeowner had wanted and was pleased with the results.
The B. Family had a crack in their basement that was a real pain. Every time it rained, water would come into the basement, and anytime it snowed, the snow would eventually melt and water would come in. The homeowners called the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems to make sure the issues was taken care of. We came in and diagnosed the problem and recommended our FlexiSpan® crack repair system.
The FlexiSpan® is unlike hydraulic cements and some epoxies: the special polyurethane polymer sealant used for FlexiSpan® will never dry out or re-crack even given the natural movement of the foundation wall over long periods of time. The homeowners can now rest assured that the basement will not take on water from that crack.
This New London basement had reoccurring water issues that were making the area unusable. The constant water would leave a musty odor and the clean-up process was beyond frustrating for the homeowner. She wanted a solution to solve the constant water problem and to get rid of the distressing smell. The homeowner decided to call Connecticut Basement Systems for a free home estimate.
The solution for this basement was to install a WaterGuard System. This system is installed internally around the perimeter of the walls and then is concealed with cement. (You can see the wet cement in the after photo.) The WaterGuard System will collect water internally and channel it out to the sump pump. The sump pump will then take the water and disperse it through the discharge line. A CleanSpace liner is beneficial for this basement because it acts as a moisture barrier which will prevent any water from seeping through the walls. (You can see the CleanSpace Liner on the walls in the after photo)
Once the installation was finished, the basement was waterproofed and the musty odor was eliminated. This is exactly what the homeowner wanted and could not be happier with the results.
