Connecticut Basement Systems Before & After Photos

A homeowner in Prospect, CT had old supports throughout their basement that were causing the floors above to be saggy and unstable. They called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a new solution. One of our Sales Consultants, Steve Machnicz, visited the home to assess the issues and propose a permanent solution. 

One of our Foremen, Sergio Alves, and his crew installed this job. They installed our SmartJack support posts throughout the basement to stabilize and support the floor above and the entire home. These are permanent solutions that solve the sagging floor issue and ensure a stable home.

Water used to seep through the walls and floor of this New Haven, CT crawlspace and cause mold, rot, and other moisture-related problems. To create a dry environment, we encapsulated the space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier on the floor and SilverGlo insulation on the walls. Water can't pass through either product! The encapsulation treatment totally separates and protects the crawl space interior from outdoor conditions, keeping the space clean and dry.

During heavy rains, this crawlspace would flood with water. Because it lacked a drainage system, the water would sit in the space for weeks at a time. They began by installing our WaterGuard drain system below the floor to collect water coming in from the walls and the floors. Then they installed our TripleSafe sump pump to take the collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. The crew also installed our CleanSpace wall system to act as a vapor barrier. These systems would ensure their basement will stay dry and no longer have to worry about the water seepage.
