Before, this Milford home had inadequate flooring in the basement. Typical tile flooring installed right against the concrete foundation (like this basement use to have) can cause a cold and uncomfortable surface. The cause of this problem is that there is no thermal break protecting the flooring from the cold and wet foundation. The homeowner wanted to be comfortable in his own basement and decided to work with the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems.
The solution was to install ThermalDry Floor beige tiles. One of the great benefits of this product is that there is a thermal barrier that makes the flooring 8-10 degrees warmer compared to traditional tile. These tiles are also attractive in any basement and are mold and water resistant. This is exactly what the homeowner wanted and was pleased with his transformed basement!

A Milford, CT homeowner was getting water seepage in their basement so they contacted us at Connecticut Basement Systems in search of a permanent solution. One of our Salesmen, Matt Kraus, visited the home to assess the basement and propose our waterproofing system as the solution.
Soon after, it would be time for one of our Foremen, Al, and his crew to install the job. They put in our WaterGuard drainage system below the floor, around the entire perimeter of the basement to capture water seepage. Then our CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed on the walls to protect from moisture. Next, they put in our SuperSump Plus sump pump with our UltraSump battery backup to safely pump out all collected water from the home. We also installed our flooring throughout the basement to give it a fresh look!
Now with our systems in place, this basement will stay dry and the homeowner can live with great peace of mind.
A Milford, CT homeowner was getting water seeping into their basement, so they called us at Connecticut Basement Systems searching for a permanent solution. One of our Salesmen, Brian DiRisi, visited the home to assess the basement and propose our entire perimeter waterproofing system.
Soon after, it would be time for one of our Foremen, Marcio, and his team to install this job. Because this basement had a monolithic foundation, both of our drainage systems were used, our DryTrak and our WaterGuard. DryTrak was installed around the perimeter but above the floor and will still capture water seepage from the walls. WaterGuard was installed in other areas to help lead groundwater seepage into the sump pump. Our TripleSafe and SuperSump Plus sump pumps were installed and will effectively pump out any collected water. CleanSpace vapor barrier was put on the walls to protect from moisture, but also to help direct water from the walls into the DryTrak.
Now that are systems are in place, this entire basement will stay dry all the time, ensuring the homeowner's peace of mind.
Foundation Supportworks Push Piers are made of steel and are driven deep into the soil beneath a foundation to solve settlement problems. Push piers can be installed inside or outside your foundation walls and are not visible once the repair is complete. Push piers not only stop settlement but lift the foundation back to its original position, closing cracks and improving window and door operation.
