Before, this basement had water seeping through the walls and from the window. You can see the discoloration on the walls where the water was an issue. The homeowner wanted a solution and decided to call the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems.
The solution for this basement was to install a WaterGuard system along with a CleanSpace liner. The WaterGuard system will collect water internally and channel it to the sump pump system. The CleanSpace liner was installed on the walls to prevent air and moisture from leaking through the walls. Not only is this liner practical, but it gives a clean, fresh look to the area. This is exactly what the homeowner wanted and was pleased with the results.

The solution for this basement was to install a WaterGuard system. This below the ground system will internally collect the water and channel it to the sump pump where it will be discharged properly away from the home. This system is installed by excavating the perimeter of the wall (and around other objects such as in the before and after photo) and the product is placed, backfilled with gravel and then paved over with cement. Now, the water that would normally make the basement wet is channeled properly to the sump pump. The homeowner is very satisfied with the project!
To be stable, strong and level, the floor above a crawl space requires solid mid-span support that's usually provided by a post-and-beam assembly. After this, Foreman Chavon Bowman replaced the damaged portions of drywall with more durable EverLast Wall Panels, which are made from inorganic materials, will not be damaged by water and can even withstand flooding. Complete with a decorative molding, these new wall panels help to give the home an improved look while also eliminating any potential for mold growth. As a result, these homeowners were quite pleased with this improved, dry basement.
