After setting an appointment with us, we sent out one of our Sales Consultants, Steve Machnicz, to the home to evaluate the basement and then propose our SmartJack solution to eliminate these issues for good. 

Eventually, it would be time for one of our Foremen, Sergio Alves, and his crew to install this job. They removed the old posts and installed our galvanized steel SamrtJack support posts. These are installed by tightening them to a certain pressure to obtain maximum stability and support for the floor and homes above. These are a permanent solution that will solve the sagging floor problem for good. 

Now this homeowner has peace of mind and is relieved knowing their home is stable. 

A homeowner in Prospect, CT was getting water seepage in their basement. With this being an ongoing issue, they contacted us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a permanent solution. After setting an appointment, one of our Sales Consultants, Steve Machnicz, would go out to the home to evaluate the basement and propose a full perimeter waterproofing solution that would eliminate their problems for good! 

Eventually, it would be time for work to be installed. One of our Foremen, Cisco Berrios, and his team would install this entire project. First, they installed our WaterGuard drainage system below the floor, around the entire perimeter of the basement. It will collect water seeping in through the walls or below the floor and lead it directly to the sump pump. Our CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed on the walls to help direct water from the walls into the drains below. Our TripleSafe sump pump was then installed to take the collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. It has three pumps inside that are used when needed; a primary, a secondary, and our UltraSump battery backup that can pump out 11,500 gallons on a full charge. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to eliminate moisture and prevent mold growth.

With our systems in place, this entire basement will now stay dry all the time. The homeowner can now live with great peace of mind.

Upon calling, the homeowner made contact with Sales Representative Brian DiRisi. DiRisi listened to the homeowner's concerns, formulating potential solutions on how to mitigate her concerns. With the conclusion of the initial call, DiRisi arrived at the home, mapping out the basement and formulating a proposal. Included in DiRisi's proposal were several waterproofing systems, including our WaterGuard French drain system, CleanSpace vapor barrier, and TripleSafe sump pump system. These three systems work in tandem to remove moisture from the basement, with the CleanSpace and WaterGuard system collecting water around the perimeter and feeding it to the TripleSafe sump pump. Once enough water collects in the sump pump, the water is drained to a safe location outside the home.

With the proposal accepted by the homeowner, Foreman Allan Guglielmoni and his team arrived on-site. Executing on DiRisi's plan, Guglielmoni and his team efficiently installed the systems outlined in his proposal. Following the install, the homeowner felt much more confident in her basement's ability to mitigate unwanted moisture!

This is done by jackhammering the floor, laying down the drains, and covering them with new concrete. These drains capture water coming in from the walls and floors and direct it into the sump pump. Our TripleSafe uses 3 pumps to do so; a primary, a secondary, and a battery backup that can pump 11,500 gallons of water on a full charge. Our CleanSpace vapor barrier was installed to lead water from the walls into the drains below the floor. With this complete waterproofing system, this whole  basement will stay dry all the time!
