This crawlspace used to be a damp, humid space. By installing the CleanSpace vapor barrier around the perimeter of the crawlspace, we were able to seal off the crawlspace from the outside. And with its mold-resistant additive "UltraFresh", CleanSpace will never support mildew or mold growth on its surface. With this durable liner, we converted this crawl space into a usable storage area!

When we arrived in this home, the walls were leaking water. However, due to the thick monolithic floors, installing a below-floor perimeter drain would have been very difficult. Instead, we installed the DryTrak baseboard drain pipe, after drilling weep holes to alleviate water pressure. The DryTrak captures all the water that would have seeped into the home, ensuring a dry basement!

Job Stories From Newtown, CT
Foundation Repair in Newtown, CT

A homeowner in Newtown, CT had a crack in their foundation that was causing it to tilt inward, which could eventually cause the foundation to fall. This customer made the smart decision to call us at Connecticut Basement Systems to have us fix this issue. One of our Sales Consultants, Tim Kane, went to the home to fully visualize and understand the issues. He then provided a solution for one of our Foremen, Sergio Alves, and Jacob Scott to come out and fix. He informed the homeowner that they would need to have PowerBraces installed in order for the foundation not to fall.

They installed 4 PowerBraces. These will work to stabilize and straighten out the foundation by slowly tightening each brace using a specific tool. Eventually, the braces can become flush with the wall, ensuring the wall will stay in a straight position. Our team will come out to check and tighten the braces as needed. Now the homeowner can relax knowing their home will be stabilized.

FlexiSpan in Newtown, CT

This Newtown home had a wall crack in its basement. The crack was concerning to the homeowner because it was allowing and moisture to flow through. Wanting a solution, he decided to reach out to the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems.

On the day of the appointment, Sales Representative Gary Meglino arrived to the home to inspect the wall crack. He concluded that this problem definitely had to be address and that our patented system, FlexiSpan would be the perfect solution. Gary explained that this system would seal up the crack and prevent any water or moisture to seep through the crack. This is exactly what the homeowner wanted and decided to move forward with the project.

On the day of production, Justin Vizard arrived at the home to install the FlexiSpan. This is a 3 step process which starts off with the application of a flexible sealant along the full length of the crack. Then, a strip of porous foam is installed over the crack. Lastly, a foam lined channel will direct water leakage a sump pump. Justin did this process proficiently and efficiently and the results started immediately. Now, the crack is no longer a concern for the homeowner.

Waterproofing in Newtown, CT

Wet spots in a basement are always a sign of concern and, when Tony S. found them in her basement, He knew that buckets and a wet vac can only help them for so long. He was tired of going into the basement to clean up after every time it rained. Tony called the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems. We sent our Waterproofing expert Ferdinand.

With Ferdinand’s guidance, Al and his crew came in and installed a Trench Drain and WaterGuard combo to ensure the current water would drain effectively out of her basement.  A TripleSafe sump pump was also installed to ensure future flooding would be a problem of the past.  Finally a SaniDry Dehumidfier was installed to eliminate all future threat of excess moisture in the basement, along with bring down the relitive humidity down so that no mold would continue to grow.

With Tony's basement taken care of, he knows that the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems know what they are doing and will hopefully continue to use their expertise for any of his household needs.
