The Smith family was having constantly occurring issues with water coming in and damaging their basement. The water was coming in where the wall and the ground come in and they could not figure out how to make the water stop coming in, so they contacted the experts at CT Basement Systems and Len Fletcher made all their worries go away. Len advised them our Drytrack Drainage system. The reason behind installing this instead of our french drain system is because every floor is different from the other and some are monolithic floors which means that the edges of these floors are extremely thick, and jackhammering them is a labor-intensive and creates a lot of dust.
Our System: Collects Water From Walls & Floor Joint, Above The Mud Zone To Prevent Clogging, Ideal For Monolithic Or Thick Floors, Includes A Written Lifetime Warranty
The B family had continuous water coming in and pooling in their basement. The homeowners called the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems for their waterproofing needs. Once at the home we were able to gather that the home desperately needed to be waterproofed. We installed our TripleSafe sump pump since the home didn't have a current sump pump. The benefit of our premier sump pump is the three pumps inside of it. The first pump sits the lowest and is the first one to turn on if water comes in. The second pump will turn on if the first pump is unable to handle the amount of water coming in, and both of the pumps will work at the same time. If the power goes out then the third pump which is battery powered will turn on and will be able to pump water totaling half of a swimming pool! The homeowners no longer had any water problems in their basement.

These Berlin homeowners had a crack in their basement wall that would allow a lot of air and moisture to travel through. Thus, making the basement a wet and unappealing area of the home. Already working with Connecticut Basement Systems having a finished basement, they decided to work again.
The solution for this problem was to install our FlexiSpan product. FlexiSpan will prevent leakage through the crack thanks to its 3 step process. The first step is to apply a flexible sealant along the full length of the crack. Next, a strip of porous foam is installed over the crack. Lastly, an impermeable membrane is attached to the wall on both sides of the foam strip. This will direct any water leakage to the waterproofing system. This is exactly what the homeowners wanted and were happy that they chose to work with us again!
This Glastonbury, CT home had a crack in the basement wall. This concerned the homeowners because the crack was leaking air and moisture into the area. They wanted to fix the problem the correct way, so they trusted the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems to correctly seal the crack in the basement.
On the day of the sales appointment, Sales Representative Chad Achenbach arrived at the home to assess the wall crack. He concluded that our FlexiSpan Wall System would be the perfect solution. After explaining the benefits of the product and how it will be a permanent solution, the homeowner wanted to move forward with the project.
Foreman Justin Vizard is the one who installed the FlexiSpan system. It is installed in 3 steps. The first step is to apply a flexible sealant along the length of the crack. Next, a strip of flexible and porous foam is attached over the crack. Lastly, an impermeable membrane is attached to both sides of the foam strip. This will allow any seepage to move down the wall into the basement’s drainage system. This system is better than the “quick fixes” of patching mortar or applying masonry sealant because any slight movement along the crack can break the seal. This is not a concern when the FlexiSpan system is used. The homeowner was glad he went with the permenant solution as he does not need to worry about the wall crack leaking air or moisture.

A homeowner in Enfield, CT was experiencing a variety of issues pertaining to unwanted basement water. From water pooling up in uneven portions of the floor, to efflorescence coating the walls, the homeowner knew she needed to act. In need of an expert with years of experience, she contacted the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems!
Upon reaching out, the homeowner made contact with Sales Consultant Ron Marra. Marra, a trained expert on basement waterproofing, listened attentively to the homeowner's concerns. Concerned with his lack of basement waterproofing systems, he wanted to ensure his basement would be protected against any future moisture. Therefore, he reached out to the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems to schedule a free in-home consultation to better understand his options.
Upon calling, the homeowner made contact with Sales Representative Mick Foster. Once Foster arrived at the home, he listened to the homeowner's concerns and needs for the space. Measuring various portions of the basement, Foster determined the most adequate location for a sump pump system. Following his visit, he provided the homeowner with a proposal documenting potential solutions to protect the basement against moisture.
Following the homeowner's approval, Foreman Chavon Bowman arrived on-site with his team to begin the installation process. Several waterproofing systems were installed, including our WaterGuard French drain system and CleanSpace vapor barrier. These two systems collect water along the perimeter of the basement, feeding excess moisture into the TripleSafe sump pump system. With these three systems working in tandem to effectively mitigate moisture within the basement, the homeowner expressed a sigh of relief!
A homeowner in Plainville, CT expressed concern after discovering a sizeable amount of moisture in her basement. Despite having a sump pump, the basement continued to experience pooling up in various areas. To mitigate these concerns, she reached out to the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems to schedule a free in-home consultation.
Upon calling, the homeowner made contact with Sales Representative Mark Krasnickas. Krasnickas discussed the homeowner's concerns, offering potential solutions to mitigate the issues she was experiencing. Drafting a proposal, Krasnickas put together notes and a map of the space to best understand the best systems to implement.
Once the proposal was accepted, Foreman Luis Alas and his team began work. Referencing Krasnickas's proposal, Alas and his team installed a variety of waterproofing systems. These systems included our WaterGuard French drain system, a clog-free solution preventing moisture along the perimeter. Tying into this system is our CleanSpace vapor barrier, collecting water along the wall and feeding excess moisture into the WaterGuard system. This moisture is then expelled to a safe distance outside the home via the TripleSafe sump pump system.
Following the installation, the homeowner felt much more confident in her basement's ability to mitigate unwanted moisture!

Soon after, it would be time for one of our Foremen, Cisco Berrios, and his crew to install this project. First, they installed our WaterGuard drainage system below the floor, around the entire perimeter of the basement. This would ensure that any water coming in from the walls or below the floor will go directly into the drainage system and then be directed into the sump pump. Next, our TripleSafe sump pump was installed to take that collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance through proper discharge lines. Our TripleSafe has 3 pumps; a primary, a secondary, and our UltraSump battery backup pump that can pump out 11,500 gallons of water on a full charge.
These systems will work together to ensure that the homeowner never sees water in their basement again, leaving them with nothing but peace of mind.
