A homeowner in Bethany had water seepage in their basement and called us at Connecticut Basement Systems to have us waterproof their basement. After an appointment was scheduled it would soon be time for one of our Sales Consultants, Steve Machnicz, to go out to the home to assess the issues and provide a proper solution. Once a proposal and plan for work were ready, it would then be time for one of our Foremen, Moises Chantes, and his crew to install this job. The major components of the waterproofing system included the installation of a TripleSafe sump pump, WaterGuard drain systems, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, and a half wall of CleanSpace vapor barrier. With these systems, this basement will stay dry all the time!

Before TripleSafe Installtion

This basement was getting water seepage through the walls and floors and needed a permanent solution.

TripleSafe and Sedona

Our crew installed a TripleSafe sump pump that uses three pumps; a primary, a secondary, and a batter backup to ensure that your pump will run no matter the circumstance. It will take the collected water from the WaterGuard drains below the floor, and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. Our Sedona dehumidifier will eliminate moisture in the basement and prevent mold growth. A dry basement means now mold can grow!

WaterGuard and TrenchDrain

The WaterGuard gets installed below the floor around the perimeter of the basement. It is installed by jackhammering the floor, laying down the drains, and then covering it back over with new concrete. Our crew installed a TrenchDrain at the entrance of the basement to collect excess amounts of water to ensure all the water goes directly into the WaterGuard.
