Crawlspace Vents
In old crawlspaces, we often find vents. It was believed that these vents could dry out crawlspaces with outside air. However, we now know that these vents are a detriment, as outside air is often more humid and wet than the air in the home. They also allow frigid winter air and pests inside. Our CleanSpace vent covers are designed to install quickly, attaching mechanically to form an airtight bond.
Wet Crawlspace
The humidity in this crawlspace caused the fiberglass insulation to fall, because it absorbs moisture. When it's wet, fiberglass insulation is also far less effective.
Crawlspace Mold
As humidity builds in your crawl space, it creates an ideal space for mold and rot to grow. As it does, all organic material in your crawl space will be damaged -- including wooden floorboards and structural support beams. A rotting crawl space will begin to sag, creating uneven floors above.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier
With the bright white CleanSpace vapor barrier installed in your crawl space, all those moisture-related problems such as rot, mold, foul odors and insects may be gone for good. A vapor barrier resists the passage of air into the crawl space and stops air movement for the ground, which can turn your crawl space into a semi-conditioned space. When that occurs, your floors feel warmer in winter and your energy bills go down.
Sanidry Crawlspace Dehumidifier
The ideal solution to a humid crawlspace is a dehumidifier. This SaniDry is specifically engineered for crawlspaces. With a self-draining design, it can remove up to 90 pints of water per day in your crawl space, without ever needed to have its collection tray emptied!
SuperSump Sump Pump
While the CleanSpace keeps out water vapor, the crawlspace is still vulnerable to plumbing leaks and groundwater. Our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, provides three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. The system includes airtight lid, primary pump, secondary pump, and battery backup sump pump.
