Mold Growth
High levels of humidity in a crawlspace can greatly elevate the presence of mold and dust mites within, greatly effecting both your health and your home, especially if you're sensitive to mold.
Insulating a Crawlspace
Crawlspaces can be tricky to insulate. Traditional fiberglass insulation doesn't stop water, and actually becomes less effective when wet. Our SilverGlo insulation, installed on the back wall of this crawlspace, combines highly effective graphite-impregnated insulation with a built-in radiant heat barrier surface. This gives your crawl space walls an unbroken plane of R-11 insulation, while sealing your walls from outside moisture and humidity infiltration.
SaniDry Dehumidifier
The SaniDry dehumidifier can remove 110 pints of water per day from the air, and has the added benefit of filtering out particles and mold spores as small as 2 microns. This is an ideal solution to a mold problem in a crawlspace.
Floor Insulation
In addition to insulating the walls, we insulated the floors with TerraBlock, a durable foam insulation, which rests under the CleanSpace barrier.
