Debris-Filled Dirt Crawl Space
This dirt crawlspace is prone to leaks and humidity. It is not only prone to mold but costly because it lets heat escape the house, raising your energy bill. We installed the CleanSpace encapsulation system to seal off the crawlspace from the outside.
Sagging Insulation
Fiberglass insulation in a crawl space tends to soak up moisture and humidity, goring mold and eventually causing it to "drip" off the ceiling, as seen in this picture. And even when it's where it belongs, wet fiberglass is a poor insulator. Our team got rid of the old insulation and replaced it with SilverGlo™ Crawl Space Wall Insulation in addition to TerraBlock insulation.
Wood Rot
The extreme moisture in the crawlspace caused the wood to rot and break. To help drain the crawlspace, our team installed drainage matting. This dimpled plastic mat material creates a drainage space that helps water find its way to your drain lines.
Wet Dirt
To prevent crawl spaces from looking like this, one product we use is TerraBlock. TerraBlock is a high-performance crawl space insulation that includes a durable moisture barrier. The ¾-in.-thick sheet material provides a clean, dry surface that helps the home to be more comfortable and energy efficient.
