Mold Growth
Mold thrives in conditions where there are high levels of humidity and moisture prevalent. Mold needs moisture from the air to survive. When humidity levels drop below 60% it will not be able to thrive. We would recommend our SaniDry dehumidifier as a good solution to this problem, as it can remove 110 pints of water per day from a basement. Its air filter can even remove particles from the air as small as 2 microns!
Leaking Wall-Floor Joint
Water used to seep through the wall-floor joint of this basement, often flooding the room and causing property damage. Without a drainage system, the basement used to be constantly wet and humid.
Old Sump Pump
This old sump pump kept clogging, and could not get the water out of basement. This allowed for the humidity o rise and mold to grow.
Crawlspace Mold
A large presence of mold and mildew in the crawlspace can significantly worsen over time. Severe damage from mold, like in this home, can effect your home and personal property, while allergens from mold spores and dust mite waste damage your health.
Encapsulated Crawlspace
To seal moisture and humidity out of the crawlspace, our team encapsulated it. The CleanSpace vapor barrier, installed on the floor, prevents air and water from seeping into the home. With a 25-year warranty against rips and tears, this durable liner converted this crawl space into a usable storage area.
SilverGlo Insulation
As an added measure of protection, we installed SilverGlo insulation around the crawlspace walls. SilverGlo combines highly effective graphite-impregnated insulation with a built-in radiant heat barrier surface. This gives your crawl space walls an unbroken plane of R-11 insulation, while sealing your walls from outside moisture and humidity infiltration.
