Damaged Drywall
Drywall is particularly susceptible to water damage, in addition to supporting mold growth. The drywall in this basement was badly damaged, and needed to be removed.
Rotting Wood
If wood gets beyond 19% water content, it is considered wet and is in danger of rotting. In order to reduce the moisture in the basement, we installed a SaniDry dehumidifier in the space.
Water Damage
In order to stop water from leaking into the basement and causing damage, as it did here, we installed a WaterGuard perimeter drain system. This ensures that any water is stopped at the edge of the basement.
Old Sump Pump
This old sump pump was not holding up to the demands of this basement, and was actually a detriment to the existing waterproofing system than rather than an asset. In its place, we installed a SuperSump sump pump. The SuperSump includes a powerful Zoeller ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,500 gallons of water per hour out of your basement.
