WaterGuard Perimeter Drain
The patented WaterGuard interior basement waterproofing system is designed to sit on top of the footing and out of the soil under your basement floor, so it will never clog. The WaterGuard system also has a special wall flange that creates a clean-looking space between the floor and the wall to drain any wall seepage that may occur, without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter.
Pooling Water
Water that pools like this often needs more than a perimeter drain to get rid of it. Our SuperSump basement sump pump has the capacity to pump 2220 gallons of water per hour out of the basement. It resists clogging and can pump up to ½-inch solids. Additionally, the patented airtight sump pump cover keeps out sump pump odor due to moisture in the sump pump basin, as well as bugs and pests, quiets sump pump noise, and protects small children from playing with and falling into the sump.
Leaky Wall/Floor Joint
A leaking wall floor joint is one of the most common problems in basements. This can be the result of hydrostatic pressure, or water pressure. When the soil outside the foundation becomes saturated, it puts tremendous pressure on the basement, and even the smallest gaps can let water through.
Backup Sump Pump
In case of a power outage during a severe storm, an UltraSump has a backup battery. Unlike a car or marine battery, the battery supplied as part of the UltraSump backup sump pump system is specially engineered to withstand long periods of remaining unused. Its outstanding gallon-per-minute output, automatic electronic "smart" charger, heavy-duty motor, and reliable switch are a winning combination.
IceGuard
Sometimes during the winter -- especially after a significant snow fall -- the end of the discharge pipe might be covered with snow and ice, and water may freeze inside the discharge pipe, clogging the system. When that happens, the water returns back into the sump pit, and the sump pump will continuously recycle the water without the ability to get rid of it. Eventually, the overwhelmed sump pump may be unable to handle the volume of water and burn out - causing the basement to flood. To prevent that catastrophe from happening, Larry Janesky and our team at Basement Systems Inc. developed the IceGuard discharge line extension. The IceGuard has a patented design with perforations to keep the water flowing out of the basement, even if the end of the pipe is clogged, thus preventing basement flooding.
