What Causes a Wet Basement?
An insufficient sump pump can be a reason for a wet basement. We upgraded the basement to a TripleSafe sump pump paired with our WaterGuard system.
WaterGuard System Installation
This system is installed below the floor. The perimeter of the floor is excavated and the product is placed which will collect water internally before it reaches the basement and lead it to the sump pump. Once the product is placed, it is back filled with gravel (as you see in this photo) and then sealed with cement.
TripleSafe Sump Pump
This is the TripleSafe sump pump installed. This is a superior choice of sump pumps because it can handle up to 2,200 gallons of water per hour!
Finished Project with ThermalDry Elite Dark Walnut
Once all the waterproofing products were installed, ThermalDry flooring was able to be installed. This flooring looks great (just look at the difference in the photo) but the product is also waterproofed! The homeowners were pleased with the work that was done by Connecticut Basement Systems!
