If the first pump can't handle it then the second pump will turn on and pump an additional 3,900 gallons an hour. If the power goes out then the third pump which is backed up by a battery will turn on and pump out as much as 11,500 gallons of water which is equivalent to half of the size of a olympic swimming pool.
