Solution
Our waterproofing professional Kryz Wilk did a great job transforming this cold, damp basement into a healthy, bright space. First he installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier. This product is mold resistant, and extremely durable. It protects the room against intrusive water leakage, mold spores, and keeps humidity from passing through. It will never chip, peel, or flake away from the concrete, like traditional paints and sealants would.
Next, we wanted to make sure that any water that did seep through the walls had a proper drainage system to go through. We installed our TrenchDrain Grated Drainage Pipe to prevent water from flowing in from the outer entry way. In this homeowners case, it was their hatchway that was a possible water entrance. After the water is flowed into the drain, it will be directed into our TripleSafe Sump Pump. This is an industry leading sump pump, and the only one of its kind. It pumps any water that comes in out of your home at an incredible force.
Finally, to fix the moisture problem this basement was facing, our SaniDry XP was installed. This dehumidifier works to keep humidity levels below 50%. Mold needs at least 50% or above to thrive, so with this product, it has a slim chance for survival. These four products will work together to ensure this basement stays dry and healthy.
