Our Service Person's Diagnosis
Diagnosis was related to very expensive previous work done less than a year ago, including installation of a new sump pump. In the past 28 years we had no active sump pump and have had no flooded basement issues or outdoors flooding. Since the new sump pump system was installed we have had outdoor flooding where the pump disperses the water. We notified Connecticut Basement Systems of our problem last fall and they installed n a temporary solution above ground (by the time they were able to do the work the ground was frozen). A few months ago they diverted the flooding to a different area, at an additional expensive cost. Now the water is running across the front of the bushes in front of one side of our home and then running down an incline which is ruining that part of our lawn. The representative who came yesterday measured the distance to extend the drain, outlet, at another expensive cost, but said that there would be flooding no matter where the water came out. I was talked into installing the new sump pump at the time a representative first came to my home. It was a big mistake. It has caused a flooding issue which we did not have before. I believe CBS should resolve my flooding issue AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.
