Photo Album: New Stairs and Flooring in Scarsdale, NY

This basement had unfinished floors and a weathered staircase that made this part of the basement an eyesore. To fix this, the homeowner reached out to the experts at Total Basement Finishing. Before long, experienced finishing foreman Sheldon Lennon traveled to the home to assess the situation. After discussing some possible solutions with the homeowner, he decided to move forward with the project and installed new stairs, as well as new ThermalDry floors to turn the cold, uncomfortable room into a comfortable part of the home.

Stairs - Before

These stairs were once dark, and covered with scuff marks and scratches. Plus, a cold concrete floor makes for an uncomfortable basement environment.

Just like the stairs between them, the surface of these darkly painted walls has been damaged over time.

Stairs - After

Now, the stairs are a much lighter color and help to brighten the room. They no longer have scuffs or scratches, and contribute to the room's improved aesthetic look. Plus, the old walls have been replaced by new EverLast Walls, which are more durable than drywall.
