Solar Panel Open House
This morning, Basement Systems held an open house to unveil a new set of solar panels installed on the warehouse roof. Members of the press and the Valley Chamber of Commerce were present for the ceremony, which included speeches from Larry Janesky, president and founder of Basement Systems, and Bill Purcell, president of the Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The panels were installed by solar energy company Alteris Renewables, and representatives from the company were at the event to present Larry with a gift: a framed areal photograph of the solar panels on top of the warehouse roof.
Guests enjoyed coffee and refreshments as well as tours of the Basement Systems campus.
Thanks to the solar panels, Basement Systems can expect to reduce their CO2 emissions by 368,492.47 pounds over the next 25 years, which is equivalent to planting 100,955.6 trees or taking 30.6 passenger vehicles off the road each year.
We here at Basement Systems aim to be a green corporate citizen and hope to inspire others to do the same!
