Connecticut Basement Systems Goes Pink!
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Connecticut Basement Systems participated in the 9th annual Seymour Pink Day. The story of Seymour Pink began as a goal to raise the most money for the Susan G. Komen walk and it has now blossomed to become SEYMOUR PINK INC…a community’s fight against breast cancer. Through their fundraising efforts, they have been able to raise over one million dollars!
Connecticut Basement Systems purchased T-shirts locally from the Seymour Pink Storefront to wear on October 11th, where the proceeds go to supporting the cause. Those who did not purchase a shirt showed their support by wearing pink today. It was truly heartwarming to see the support throughout our company.
During the first week of October, our general manager received a note from Sean, our company’s electrician. He expressed in the note that breast cancer is close to his heart and provided a bag of Breast Cancer Awareness bracelets. His wish was that everyone in the company will wear the bracelets for the month of October. In his note, he mentioned that he hopes this will make a “big impact.” This was very fitting to us as “IMPACT” was the theme of our most recent Convention. The general manager was so impressed with the gesture and kindness that he decided to purchase enough bracelets to allow even our corporate offices to show their support. It is quite gratifying to walk around the office and see all the employees wearing these pink bracelets! Our team at Connecticut Basement Systems truly comes together as a community to support a worthy cause!
