Back to School Drive 2017

Last month, Connecticut Basement Systems participated in the annual Back to School Drive in the town of Seymour. This specific drive allows struggling parents with kids in the Seymour elementary schools to receive supplies for their children for the upcoming school year. We were able to sponsor 2 kids and the employees of our company donated items from a list provided.  

On August 22, all the companies who participated in this drive arrived at the Chatfield-LoPresti school to drop off their buckets of donations. Not only was Connecticut Basement Systems able to provide all the items for our 2 sponsored kids, but we received an overflow of donations to provide for the nurse’s office. (pink bucket in the picture above) Many companies participated in this drive and the number of supply buckets for these kids that were donated was astonishing. 

On August 23, we were able to distribute our donations to the kids that we sponsored. This was truly the best part of the Back to School Drive because all of the kids were so excited to receive their supplies! Also, to see how appreciative all the parents were warmed our hearts. The 2 kids that we sponsored, Mark and Lea, are siblings who were ecstatic with all of their supplies!
