Go Larry!
When he's not overseeing the largest basement waterproofing company in the nation, Larry Janesky is focusing his attention on business and motivational speaking. Marketing guru Tom Peters has talked about Janesky on his blog before, and recently he posted an entry discussing one of Larry's recent speeches differentiating between businesses that are "busy" and those that are experiencing "growth."
Peters writes that Janesky hit a "home run" with his analysis that being busy doesn't last and is affected by outside sources, while growth implies internal changes and improvements that can thrive even in a bad economic environment.
Peters also writes, "I think this approach to business makes a helluva lot of sense, especially to those firms, the great majority in my experience, which did indeed get sloppy during the now departed 'good times'."
