Basement Systems Lends a Hand to Valley United Way
Several Basement Systems employees donated their time and effort to help Valley United Way get rocking horses and rocking chairs to local children in need.
Valley United Way was trying to collect toy horses and chairs as part of their unique toy donation for needy children. The Boys and Girls Club of Shelton had agreed to be the distribution center for the products, but they did not quite have the means to get all of the items off of their large tractor trailer and needed some help.
The items were diverted to the Basement Systems headquarters in Seymour where employee John Kay spearheaded the process of unloading the rocking horses and chairs onto the Basement Systems warehouse loading dock. Then, agencies were able to collect items for their own trucks.
All of us at Basement Systems are proud of our team members who stepped up to help when Valley United Way needed them!
